My wife said that I lacked a certain sagacity when I wrote the screenplay for this particular movie. She was right.
This movie has often been met with a dropped-jaw or a dumbfoundedness. I thought, "this will be the thing they remember me by!" Okay, sometimes, I can be a bit half-wit but I'm not that mis-guided.
Vindication for me, came in the form of the Next-Fest Comedy Festival. I was fortunate enough to have my film show in a packed theatre and although far from overwhelming, the response from clusters of people throughout the audience was exactly the reaction I had hoped for and more.
